BEAA Book Club #3: Braiding Sweetgrass

As we strive to learn more about systemic racism we decided to start the BEAA Book Club. The book club aims to choose diverse titles, fiction or non-fiction, which can educate, inspire, and motivate us as readers.

The third book that the BEAA book club will read and discuss is Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer.  “In a rich braid of reflections that range from the creation of Turtle Island to the forces that threaten its flourishing today, [Kimmerer] circles toward a central argument: that the awakening of a wider ecological consciousness requires the acknowledgment and celebration of our reciprocal relationship with the rest of the living world.” (source: Milkweed Editions)

Have you signed up for the BEAA Book Club yet?

The discussion about ‘Braiding Sweetgrass’ by Robin Wall Kimmerer is scheduled for Tuesday July 27th at 7pm.

Please RSVP to joinus@beaatlantic.com if you plan to attend.
